Counselling for Teenagers
Adolescence brings plenty of challenges; so many developmental changes are taking place which can bring their own unique struggles. The ongoing impact of the pandemic, added pressures of social media and navigating the online space can feel overwhelming as your child is discovering who they are and how they fit in their world.
Relationships, friendships and bullying, exploring gender and/or sexuality, and academic pressures are common difficulties which can lead to poor self-esteem, anxiety and unhelpful coping strategies impacting teen mental health.

“Thank you so much for all your support. With your help, I've come so far. Thank you for being there for me and always making feel validated. I appreciate all the time you've spent helping me and the hope for the future that you have helped me find”

I have over 20 years’ experience working with children and teenagers and have spent the last few years counselling teenagers in secondary schools across Stroud & Gloucestershire. I offer developmentally appropriate support based on your child's needs to help them unpick what has led them to counselling and support them to discover their strengths and build their resilience.
I can support your teenager to
- develop a greater sense of self-acceptance
